Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class Keeps Stunt Man Alive in Horrific Crash
It only takes a brief moment to change a life forever, and that’s very apparent when you’re in a car that has just been through an accident. Continuing Mercedes-Benz’s “Impact” series of safety survival stories, the luxury automaker recently released a new video with a unique perspective — from a stunt driver.
Richard Marrero was shooting a clip with the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class when he lost control of the vehicle. The sedan rolled several times, all while keeping Marrero safe. When the tow company arrived, all four doors were able to be opened perfectly.
Joe Sellers, the tow truck driver, summed up the scene: “Somebody engineered that car to take an impact with operator and passenger safety in mind.”
