What to Expect From the 2019 Mercedes-AMG® CLS
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS, now in its third generation, is back with a newly redesigned look and Mercedes-Benz of Henderson has the latest scoop on what to expect from this four-door coupe.
At first glance, you might mistake the CLS coupe’s striking front-end diamond grille to that of the Mercedes-AMG® GT, due to its widened base and aggressive new look, but make no mistake. The muscular rear shoulder line blends smoothly into the flat rear end for the unmistakable classic CLS body styling while the front-end of the model slants forward to create a reminiscent of a shark’s nose, according to Mercedes-Benz.
The inside of the 2019 CLS features a 12.3-inch high resolution central display, 64-color ambient lighting, and some of the same technology you’ll find in the Mercedes-Benz flagship sedan, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Features like ENERGIZING Comfort lets Henderson drivers adjust cabin fragrance, heat, ventilation, and choose from six different massage modes.
Did we mention the new CLS is also a hybrid? That’s right! Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled an all-new line of AMG® drivetrains at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), including the AMG® CLS 53.
The 2019 CLS is powered by a completely new inline-six engine with EQ Boost and a 48-volt onboard electrical system. Mercedes-Benz says this new engine will deliver the performance of an eight-cylinder engine with significantly lower consumption.
The 2019 Mercedes-AMG® CLS 53 will be available in the U.S. by late 2018, around the same time we’re anticipating the arrival of the 2019 C-Class. Want to learn more about the CLS Coupe lineup? Click below.
