One of the main reason that this new sedan is selling much faster than the automaker anticipated is that its attracting buyers from a whole different segment. The brand has warned dealerships like ours that inventory will be tight until June, even though the Hungarian plant at which the car is being produced is operating at full capacity.

The brand moved a total of 2,300 units of the CLA-Class during its first week on the market, making its launch the best that the German automaker has had in twenty years. Its launch played a big part in the company’s overall success last month, and Mercedes-Benz sales numbers were up 14 percent for the month.
