Everyone knows that luxury brand Mercedes-Benz offers some of the best-appointed vehicles on the market, but everyone might not know (yet) that the brand is branching out into the furniture market. The German auto brand has created a furniture collection in conjunction with Italian furniture manufacturer Formitalia. The new furniture line will be launched at the upcoming Milan Furniture Fair and presently consists of a bed, home theater system stand, a sideboard, several chairs, a sofa, a chest of drawers, a chaise lounge, and a dining room table.

Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Mercedes-Benz Style, explains the concept behind the collection, stating, "The various pieces of furniture reflect the progressive, dynamic design idiom of our current show cars and concept vehicles, offering an exclusive, emotional experience outside our vehicles as well."¹ The sideboard piece, for example, features a glass door and surrounding bevel that remind us of a sports car's air intake. Overall, each piece of the collection promises "dynamic yet timelessly elegant design."² according to the automaker. Every piece will wear a prominent Mercedes-Benz logo.

The luxurious new furniture collection is slated to arrive in high-end furniture stores, showrooms, and interior design studios beginning this October, so be sure to keep an eye out for its appearance at your favorite posh seller.
