Of course, like any Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts in the Henderson, NV area, Mercedes-Benz of Henderson is sorry to see the 57 and 62 be dicontinued. However, the blow is softened with the promise of the fifth-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class (i.e., S350 BlueTEC 4MATIC Sedan, S400 HYBRID Sedan, S550 Sedan, S600 Sedan, S63 AMG, and S65 AMG), including a new class-topping addition.

One inside source from Mercedes-Benz frankly explained that Mercedes-Benz has come to the decision that it's wiser to discontinue the Maybach brand than move forward into an uncertain future with luxury cars that have not met sales quotas. The insider, reveals, "Plans are already in place to fill the void left by axing the Maybach 57 and 62 with the next-generation [Mercedes-Benz] S-Class, which will be offered in three wheelbase variations and six different body styles, including a top-of-the-range S600 Pullman."1
