Advanced innovation and elegant execution are two equally hallowed S-Class traditions. At the helm of its meticulously crafted cockpit, every control and feature is thoughtfully engineered to fall naturally to hand, and work with intuitive simplicity. The COMAND system puts audio, navigation, vehicle settings and information such as real-time traffic reports within easy reach, with a convenient central controller and two high-resolution 8" widescreens. The exclusive new SPLITVIEW option lets the central screen play a DVD that's only visible to your front passenger. The second screen serves primarily as your speedometer, but can display options such as Night View Assist PLUS directly in your line of sight. In the S-Class, the state of the art is always artfully done.

Attentive in every detail. As gratifying as an S-Class is to drive, being a passenger brings exclusive benefits as well. The four wide doors are each held open to any position by gas struts, and gently snugged tight by pneumatic assist. The generously proportioned cabin welcomes people of any stature, and immerses them in soft, hand-fitted leather and the glow of hand-polished wood. The climate control automatically filters dust, pollen and odors from the cabin, compensates for sunlight, and focuses first on occupied seats, based on seat-belt usage. Dual-pane side windows reject noise, heat and infrared rays, to help fend off the harshness of the outside world. And to welcome its scenic beauty in, an available all-glass Panorama sunroof lets everyone aboard enjoy blue skies by day - or an evening among the stars.
Appeasing. Heated and Active Ventilated front seats offer 12-way power adjustment, four zones of lumbar support and 3-position memory. Optional Drive-Dynamic front seats add a massage function and active cornering support. The Rear Seat Package adds 4-zone climate control and power rear seats. All of these comforts are standard on the S600.
Soothing. The COMAND system offers simple, illustrated control of numerous comfort features. You can fine-tune the location and intensity of the available front-seat massage. Or choose any of three color profiles for the ambient lighting - a network of LEDs and fiber optics that encircle the cabin in a soft glow shown to reduce nighttime stress and fatigue.
Refreshing. The windows and standard power sunroof feature heat-absorbing glass, to help keep the cabin cooler in the summer, whether driving or parked. The optional Panorama roof (standard on the S600) offers an expansive vista to every seat. The front section tilts up or slides open. When closed, a power sliding screen helps filter sunlight.
